Hello Beckton, There has been a spike in robberies this week, with suspects primarily targeting e-bikes. Read on for the whats, the wheres and the whens. Criminal Damage07/06/2026 – A female damaged the windows of a family home on East Ham Manor Way. She also set fire to cardboard outside the property and knocked over wheelie bins. She believed her property was inside the address; however, the family residing there did not know her. She was arrested and charged. 08/06/2026 – A victim received a notification from her vehicle indicating it had been damaged whilst parked in Cyprus Place. Upon inspection, a large dent was discovered on the boot. It is possible that this is linked to a local parking dispute. Robbery05/06/2026 – A male was threatened and had his e-bike stolen in Beckton Park. 05/06/2026 – A person arranged to meet a prospective buyer to sell an e-bike in Woolwich Manor Way. The bike was forcibly taken during the meeting. 08/06/2026 – A male was threatened and had his e-bike stolen to the rear of ASDA. Theft from a Vehicle09/06/2026 – (Attempted) A work van parked at the Premier Inn was found with cut marks on the side door. Nothing was stolen. 08/06/2026 – Two young males on bicycles were seen breaking a van window in Redstart Close and stealing a jump-starter device. Theft from a Person06/06/2026 – Cycle-enabled phone snatch in Stansfeld Road. Suspects were described as two males riding an e-bike and dressed in black clothing. 09/06/2026 – An elderly woman was deceived by a male and female who falsely claimed she had parked illegally and needed to pay a fine. They accompanied her to cash machines at ASDA and withdrew money from her account. The male was described as Asian and wearing a hat and surgical face mask. The female was described as having a tanned complexion and wearing a long fur coat. If you witness suspicious behaviour matching the circumstances of this incident, please report it to security staff or police. Members of the public should not assume that anyone matching the description is involved. Theft08/06/2026 – A male removed his Apple Watch whilst using a weighing machine at Gallions Reach. He left it behind and, upon returning, discovered it had been stolen. In Other NewsWhilst on proactive patrol yesterday, officers searched a male suspected of dealing drugs. He was arrested and following a search of his home address, 29 hunting knives and machetes were recovered.
